Realme 3 Pro is set to be launched in India on April 22. The conpany’s CEO Pete Lau has announced that the blind orders for the phone will go live on April 19 on the Realme website. Buyers will not have to pay for the phone, instead they can simply register and get a chance to win an R-pass that will help them purchase the Realme 3 Pro without considering the rush during the sale.

Moreover, the microsite for the Realme 3 Pro has gone live on e-retailer Flipkart, hinting at fast charging support.

Realme CEO, Madhav Sheth, on Tuesday tweeted that blind orders for the Realme 3 Pro will kick off starting April 19 on the official Realme website. As for what is a blind order, he clarified in a subsequent tweet that a blind order will allow the interested buyers to register for the Realme 3 Pro on the company’s official website without having to pay for it, and get a chance to win an R-pass. It is being called blind as the consumers won’t know the specifications or even the price of the phone. However, the company is giving away only 5,000 R-passes that will ensure that the lucky winners can purchase the device upon its launch and avoid the hassle of flash sales.

Moreover, the Realme 3 Pro’s landing page has gone live on Flipkart and it highlights a key feature of the upcoming smartphone – fast charging support. Realme’s CEO had also recently tweeted that the Realme 3 Pro will provide 5 hours of talk time with just 10 minutes of charging, and the same trait is also being promoted on the device’s landing page on Flipkart. As per a recent leak, the Realme 3 Pro will pack a 3,960mAh battery, but there is no word on the standard of fast charging it supports.

As for the rest of the specifications, the phone is said to come with a 6.3-inch full-HD display, ColorOS 6.0, and the Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. The company had also recently teased the Realme 3 Pro’s imaging capabilities, especially low-light photography, but the resolution of the cameras and related features are not known as of now. We’ll get to know more when Realme officially launches the Realme 3 Pro at an event on April 22 that kicks off at 12:30pm IST.

Realme 3 Pro To Launch On April 22, Supports Fortnite

Realme 3 Pro is set to get launched in India on April 22. The company confirmed the launch date via a tweet on Thursday. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth claimed in a tweet that Realme 3 Pro would be the first of its kind to support Fortnite.

The new flagship smartphone is designed to compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro.

The Realme 3 Pro was announced as the company’s next model alongside the Realme 3 launch last month.

Through its latest tweet, Realme has publicly announced that the Realme 3 Pro would launch in India on April 22. The company will host the launch at the Delhi University at 12:30pm IST.

In a separate tweet posted on Wednesday, Realme CEO Sheth highlighted the gaming-focused hardware of the Realme 3 Pro by calling it as the first in its segment to support Fortnite directly. The executive also took a dig at the Redmi Note 7 Pro by saying, “Tried to play this game on some latest ‘Pro’ devices but none of them could manage. When it comes to speed, chipset matters.”

Realme hasn’t revealed any information around the chipset of the Realme 3 Pro. However, as per its formal announcement last month, the phone will come with a 48-megapixel primary sensor.

Sheth earlier this week also shared three camera samples of the Realme 3 Pro. While one of the images shared on Twitter teased the selfie camera of the upcoming Realme phone, the other two gave a glimpse at the performance of its rear-mounted camera setup. Further, the camera samples suggested that phone could have dedicated HDR support on the main camera and a selfie camera with a resolution greater than 13 megapixels, which was available on the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Realme 3 Pro To Be Launched As Competitor Of Redmi Note 7 Pro

Realme had recently announced that it will launch a compatitor against Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro in April. Having the name as Realme 3 Pro, the smartphone is expected to be an upgraded version of Realme 3 with better processor and camera.

Company CEO Madhav Sheth on Monday confirmed the company will be launching the phone at Delhi University stadium this month.

Ahead of its official launch in India, Realme 3 Pro key specifications have been revealed. According to reports, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. It’s worth noting that Snapdragon 710 SoC is considered to be an upgraded chipset over Snapdragon 675 SoC that runs on Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Realme’s next smartphone will be available in multiple RAM and storage combinations starting at 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. Realme 3 Pro is also expected to sport a 48-megapixel rear camera. The latest reports, however, suggest the phone will have Sony IMX519 camera sensor. Redmi Note 7 Pro offers 48-megapixel camera resolution via Sony IMX586 sensor.  Other expected features from Realme’s new phone includes Vooc fast charging support.

Xiaomi Note 7 Pro full specifications include 48MP Dual camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, 6.3-inch dot notch display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Type-C Port, 4,000mAh battery, and up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is available at a starting price of Rs 13,999.

Realme has been trying to steal Xiaomi’s thunder with equally matched specifications and priced phones in the budget and mid-range category. Commenting on Xiaomi’s ‘camera beast’ Redmi Note 7 Pro, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth had said, “We understand someone calls it a good beast. We also say it’s a good beast. More competition is good for consumers. Unless you don’t have a product against it how will you understand whether it’s really a beast or not.”

Realme 3 With MediaTek Helio P70 Starts At Price ₹8,999

Realme has made an announcement on Monday to bring in a new handset for the Indian market. The Realme 3 has come with an upgraded version of last year’s model and once again is targeted at the sub-Rs 15,000 segment.

The Oppo sub-brand took a jab at Xiaomi a few days back as it claimed the Realme 3 with its 12nm-based MediaTek Helio P70 processor is better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 equipped Redmi Note 7. Notably, the Realme 2 Pro was powered by the 660 last year.

The Realme 3 comes with a 6.2-inch display with an HD+ resolution (1520×720 pixels). As mentioned above, there’s a MediaTek Helio P70 processor and it is offered in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, both of which come with expandable storage. At the back there is a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel combo along with a 13-megapixel front camera. There are features like Chroma Boost, which is said to enhance dynamic range when shooting backlit subjects and something called Nightscape, which is basically for low-light photos where the camera takes a long exposure shot.

The Realme 3 runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie, which the company has tried to give stock-like look, although it doesn’t seem all that attractive. Finally you get a 4,230mAh battery which should be more than enough to last all day.

The Realme 3 is priced at Rs 8,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at Rs 10,999. Notably, the company says that the 3GB RAM variant price is part of an introductory offer for the first 1 million buyers. The phone will be offered in three colours- Dynamic Black, Radiant Blue, and Black colour options with the black options available exclusively on Flipkart and Realme website. The handset will be available via it’s first sale on March 12 at 12PM.

The company also announced the Realme 3 Iconin Case which features a diamond-cut pattern which will be available at Rs 599.
